Metromini in Tanjung Priok Terminal Stopped Operating

Some metromini buses at Tanjung Priok Terminal, North Jakarta, stopped operating as a form of solidarity of strike action conducted by metromini crews in Jakarta.

Beritajakarta.com observation at the location, from trajectory installed in the terminal, Metromini T-41 (Tanjung Priok-Pulogadung) and P-07 (Semper-Senen), none of them operated. Visibly, there were only two metromini still operated, they are Metromini U-23 (Tanjung Priok-Cilincing).

Yanto, one of metromini drivers in Tanjung Priok Terminal stated he did not operate the bus as a protest to Jakarta Transportation Department that impounded many of metromini buses.

"Since in the morning, we don't operate as solidarity to fellow metromini crews doing strike action. Even if there is Metromini U 23 operating, it's only two units," he said, Monday (12/21).

He uttered in the terminal the most armadas are only T-41 which is up to more than 20 units.

"We urge the department to discharge the grounded metromini," he told.
